Beverlee C. Gardner

Beverlee C. Gardner, 88, of Dover died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Union Hospital.

Born February 1, 1926 in Oakland, California she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Geraldine Dawson Carlson. Bev was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Gardner on October 31, 1974; son, Gary Gardner; brother, Bob Carlson and her grandson, Billy Gardner.

She was a homemaker, and in her later years purchased Zifaro's Pizza in Uhrichsville where it still remains in the family to this day. As a proud female small business owner, she was a member of the Business Women's Association. But the most important part of Bev's life was her family, especially her grandchildren; they were truly the center of her world. She loved following her grandchildren throughout their sports career, whether it was little league baseball or high school football she never missed an opportunity to watch them play.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Bev will be sadly missed by her children, Gay (Rick) Stewart, Greg (Therese) Gardner and Geri (Allan) Abbas all of Dover; grandchildren, Ricky (Heather) and Stacy Stewart, Tyson (Vanessa) and Lindsay Gardner, Zach (fianc, Khala West), Zeb, Zeke and Zane Gardner, Alexi, Tasha, Daniel and Drew Abbas; great grandchildren, Maegan and Kathyrn Stewart and Ari Gardner and daughter in law, Kris Gardner.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Private family graveside services will be held in the Dover Burial Park.
