Beverly A. Charnock

Beverly A. "Bev" Charnock, 80, of Uhrichsville passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Born on July 3, 1935 in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Randall and Anna (Fox) Gleitsman. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother in law; Betty and Alfred Clay; and her brother, Randall Gleitsman Jr.

Bev was a 1953 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. On July 1, 1965, she married Robert Charnock. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last summer.
Bev worked for both Kreig's Dry Cleaning and Bentleys Dry Cleaning in Dover. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville. She enjoyed bowling, having played in many leagues over the years. She loved her family and enjoyed family gatherings.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she will be sadly missed by her children; Warren Schilling (Jone Bump) of Uhrichsville, Julie (Dave) Kennedy of Dennison, Steve Charnock of Kent, Kathy (Harvey) Diem of Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Warren II (Randi) Schilling of Newcomerstown; Benn (Crystal) Schilling of California; Cassie (Tyler Hess) Schilling of Fresno, and Brooklynn, Quest and Zariah Kennedy of Dennison; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Kathy Gleitsman of New Philadelphia; sisters in-law, Norma Cerana of Uhrichsville, Marjorie Lee of Strasburg, Joyce Charnock of Hiram, Nancy Charnock of New Philadelphia, and Debra (Michael) Thomas of Strasburg; Brother in-law, Earl (Grace) Lahmers of Bolivar; special friend, Barb Eisenberg of Michigan; along with her dog, peanut and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bev's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in NEW PHILADELPHIA, 246 East High Ave, on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 am with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the New Philadelphia funeral home.
