Billy E. Rabes

Billy E. Rabes, 74, of Dover died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at Mercy Medical Center following a brief illness.

He retired from the Timken Co. in New Philadelphia after 30 years of service.

Born October 1, 1926 in Dover he was a son of the late George and Emma Wendling Rabes.

He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Dover, Social Member of the Dover VFW, New Philadelphia Elks and the Tuscarawas County Bowlers Hall of Fame.
He was an avid bowler, who also loved to golf and fish.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife Sara Rabes who died on January 24, 1994.

He is survived by five sons: Mike and Chris Rabes of Bolivar
Jim and Carol Rabes of Dundee
Dean and Tharin Rabes of East Canton
Edward Rabes and his companion Kelly Jones of Dover
Brian and Janet Rabes of Dover

Four grandchildren: Aaron Rabes, Jessica Rabes, Brian Q. Rabes and Kaley Rabes.

Two great grandchildren: Katy Rabes and Sara Wauthier

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2001 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
