Blanche E. Maurer

Blanche E. Maurer, 93, formerly of Canton and most recently of Greer, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 10, 2007 in the Hennis Care Centre at Bolivar.

She had retired in 1975 as a secretary at the Canton Baptist Temple after 13 ½ years of service.

She was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple and the Adult Bible Class.

Born on November 24, 1913 in Louisville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Edna Paulus Otto. Blanche was also preceded in death by her first husband, Paul B. McIntyre and her second husband Ralph Maurer; grandson, Randall Tolson and a brother.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Tolson of Greenville, South Carolina and Gloria Jean (Robert) Hacker of Greer, South Carolina; son, Frederick Albert McIntyre of Canton; sister, Grace Shull of Massillon; five grandchildren, Renee Foster, Cynthia Johnson, Vicky Burr, Lyndee Grupp and Benjamin Schaner; 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Canton Baptist Temple with Rev. David Harmon officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the church on Tuesday one-hour prior to the funeral service. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes at Dover is handling arrangements.
