Blanche Himes Judy Boughman

Blanche (Himes) Judy Boughman, 95, of Dover and formerly of Strasburg died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 in the Hennis Care Centre at Dover.

She retired in 1971 from Nickles Bakery in Navarre following 16 years of service.

Born July 13, 1919 in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late Arlington and Edith (Klingler) Himes. She was also preceded by in death by her husbands, Ronald Judy and John Boughman; a son, Ronald "Dale" Judy; a daughter in law, Bonnie Judy; two sisters, Verda Climes and Erma Eash and five brothers, Russell, Carl, Merle, Otis and Alvin Himes.

Blanche was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg and formerly active in the Tuscarawas County Senior Center. Over the years, she enjoyed playing cards, bowling and traveling. She will be most remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved spending time and caring for her family.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Dan Judy (companion, Vivian Becker) of Strasburg; a daughter in law, Sidney Judy of Brush, Colorado along with seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Blanche's life will be held Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014 beginning at 2pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Rev. Karen Biggerstaff officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11am until 2pm.
