Blanche Thomas Fouts, 72, of Dundee passed away suddenly at her home on Thursday, February 24, 2011.
Blanche was born in Everett, Pennsylvania on August 4, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Vaughn R. and Mary Schomo Border.
She married John Thomas, who preceded her in death on June 1, 1996. On September 18, 1997, she married John Fouts who also preceded her in death on April 20, 2007. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers.
Blanche was a 40-year member of the Church of God in Pennsylvania and was also a member of Flowing Rivers Church in New Philadelphia. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and tending to her fish, however, her favorite pastime was the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her four children; Rock (Vickie) Thomas of Dundee, Joyce (Duane) Humrichouser of Dundee, Jody (Louis) Russell of Bethel NY, Jack (Rhonda) Thomas of Beach City; five sisters, Marie Tempest of North Vernon, IN, Diane (Jim) Vigh of Sampson, NC, Joanne (Jim) Dixon of Huntington, PA, Cindy (Butch) Corbin of Huntington, PA, Kathy (Kenny) Bickel of Huntington, PA, two brothers, Ted (Linda) Border of South Carolina, Vaughn Border of Huntington, PA; four step-children, 15 grandchildren; Michelle, John, Casey, BJ "Joyce," Clint, Andrew, James, Courtney, Alexis, Jessica, David, Dustan, Diane, Heath and Heather; 13 great grandchildren; and her cat, Mittens.
A celebration of Blanche's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 6:00 pm with Pastor David Fouts officiating. Immediately following the service, a meal will take place at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-6 pm. A service of committal will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 10:00 am.
