Boyd Douglas Crowe

Boyd Douglas Crowe, 43, of Manly, Australia and a former Dover resident died Friday, September 24, 2004 in his home following a brief illness.

Boyd owned and operated Crowe�(TM)s Computer Consulting Co. in New South Wales, Australia. He was also a former programmer for Cisco Systems in Sydney. He was a floating registered nurse and a deep sea diving instructor.

Born September 14, 1961 in Dover, the son of Katie and Robert Zuchegno of New Philadelphia and the late Howard P. Crowe Jr.

Boyd enjoyed golfing, fishing, and reading and the joy of his life was deep sea diving. He served twelve years in the United States Army where he was a Green Beret (Special Operations) and traveled the world. He was decorated with the Army Service ribbon, Noncommissioned officer professional development Ribbon, Overseas service ribbon, M-16 Qualification and the Good Conduct Medal. A special moment in Boyd�(TM)s life was when his brother asked him to be Godfather for his nephew, Christopher.

In addition to his mother and stepfather, Boyd is survived by his son, Mark Anthony Crowe of Hassmersheim, Germany; one sister, Bonnie Kay (Patrick) Burns of New Philadelphia; one brother, Robert Wade (Monika) Crowe of Hassmersheim, Germany; his companion and caregiver, Julie Pendrick of Australia; his former wife, Patricia Gardner of Virginia; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ida and Logan Vaughn and his paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Howard Crowe, Sr.

At Boyd�(TM)s request, cremation has taken place. A reception celebrating his life will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2004 from 1-3 pm in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard, Dover where memories of Boyd will be shared followed by military honors at 3pm outside of the Monarch Center by the Dover VFW.
