Brian J. Walters

Brian J. Walters, 58, of Akron passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

Born on December 1, 1962 in Dover, he was a son of Jon and Shirley Hall Walters of Dover. He is also survived by his sister, Holly Walters and her husband, Stephen LeClaire of Texas; uncle and aunt, Bob (Rosemary) Hall of Dover; and cousins, Matt, Jason, Bob Hall and their families.

Brian was a 1981 graduate of Strasburg High School, graduated from the University of Akron with a B.S. degree in Marketing, as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Youngstown State University. He currently served as a business consultant for the Akron Medina Small Business Alliance at the Akron Small Business Development Center in Akron, Ohio. His areas of expertise included business strategy development, marketing, organization behavior, sales coaching and career counseling. In addition, Brian was an adjunct professor at several Universities teaching in the Marketing, Management, and Economics disciplines.

A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on Friday, July 23rd starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at 140 South Bodmer Ave., Strasburg with Rev. Wayne Ickes officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. The family will be greeting friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
