Brian Judson Reamy

Brian Judson Reamy, 53, of Bolivar died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, from cancer discovered just a few short days ago.

Born Jan. 27, 1956, in Dover, he was a son of the late Dr. H. Judson and Mary L. Butler Reamy. Brian graduated from New Philadelphia High School and went on to attend Ohio University and Cleveland State University. He was employed as a millwright for the Canton Drop Forge Co., and had worked in the steel industry most of his life.

Brian was a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns, and tried to attend at least one game every year. He was musically talented, playing the guitar and keyboard, and had once played in a band. He was also a great "purveyor of facts" on a wide range of subjects, never forgetting things he had learned. Brian loved animals of all kinds, and had a special fondness for cats, of which there was always at least one sharing the Reamy home.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Sherri L. Hisrich Reamy, whom he married on May 17, 1986; two daughters, Rochelle and Amber Reamy; two sons, Patrick (companion, Brianna Kouns) Reamy and Josiah Reamy; a sister, Lynn Reamy of San Francisco, CA; two brothers, Bruce Reamy (Brian's twin) and Kevin (Susan) Reamy, both also of San Francisco; three nieces, Brooke Byers, Madison Hisrich and Stephanie Reamy.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor Chad Stutzman of NewPointe Community Church, Dover, officiating. Immediately following the service, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard.
