Brock William Warden

Brock William Warden, age 17, of Dover, died at Akron Children�(TM)s Medical Center on Friday June 14, 2002 from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. He was born Aprill 11, 1985 in Dover, and is survived by his parents, Steven L. & Janet Mitchell Warden, his brother, Mitchell S. Warden of the home, and his dog, Radar.

Brock was an avid Dover Sports fan and did Freshman Basketball Stats and Varsity football stats for his beloved Tornadoes. He was on the set crews for Dover High School plays and musicals. An honor student, he loved to read, play video games, travel and spend time with friends and family. He was active in his church youth group and helped with Vacation Bible School. He especially enjoyed MDA Summer camp, which he looked forward to attending this week.

In addition to his parents and brother, Brock is survived by his paternal grandmother, Belva Warden of Senecaville, his maternal grandparents, Ed & Mary Ann Mitchell, and uncle Curt Mitchell, all of Cambridge, and aunt and uncle LuAnn & Jeff Danford of Salesville, cousins Jessica Danford & her fiancé Scott Mackey, and Katie Danford. Brock is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Warden.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, at 11:00am in the First United Methodist Church at Dover with Rev. Dr. David Oliver officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover on Tuesday from 4-9pm and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
