Bruce A. Houston, 45, of Sugarcreek, died Monday in his home.
Born Aug. 16, 1958, in Massillon, Bruce was a son of Joanne Dobbins Houston Campbell of New Philadelphia, and the late Delmar Houston. He attended Garaway High School, and was a self-employed truck driver.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his biological daughter, Amanda L. Hughes of Sherrodsville; two sisters, Linda K. Raber of Sugarcreek, and Brenda S. Warther of Dover; two brothers, Gary L. Houston of Stow and Robert S. Houston of Dover; best friend, Cindy Buehler of Dover; five nieces and two nephews.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Dec. 29, at 10:30 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, with Dr. Steven R. Bailey of the First United Methodist Church, New Philadelphia, officiating. Bruce�(TM)s body will be cremated following the service, and his cremated remains buried in Dover Burial Park. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2-4 p.m.
Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to the family in care of Linda Raber, P.O. Box 343, Sugarcreek, OH 44681. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home for this purpose.
