Calvin Jerome ''Romey'' Farmer, 44, was called away from his family and loved ones on October 6, 2000.
Calvin was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 10, 1955 to the late Lois Harrington Farmer and Calvin Cooper.
Calvin moved to New Philadelphia in 1991 and was owner of CF Trucking Company. ''Romey'' attended Greater Bethel Apostolic Church in Canton and First Baptist Church in Dover.
Surviving are four loving children, Calvin, Jr., Demetrius, Cordarrel & Fleecia Thrash. He also leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Lucretia Denise Chivers and Paula Harrington of Dayton, three brothers Tillman Mosley of Dayton, Orlando Juan Mosley of Wisconsin and Andrea Harrington of West Bloomfield, Michigan, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends, and the mother of his children, Valerie Farmer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Martel.
He will be missed and loved by many.
Local funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 10, at 1:00pm in the First Baptist Church at Dover with Rev. Christopher Lowery officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Services in Dayton will be handled by the McLin Funeral Home. Burial will be Thursday in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Dayton.
