Canaan Joseph Callentine, 23, of Dover passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
Born on September 9, 1994 in Dover, he was the son of Todd (Jennifer) Callentine and Michele (Gary) Yoder both of Dover.
Canaan was a graduate of the Dover High School class of 2013. He formerly worked for Meteor Sealing Systems in Dover along with several other places around the area. He enjoyed painting and playing the guitar. He will be remembered for his contagious smile and quick comebacks. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. He was smart, loving and always giving. Canaan was an all around genuine and likeable guy.
In addition to his parents, he will be sadly missed by his siblings; Cassidy Callentine of Akron, Aaron Callentine of Dover, Andrew Gibb of Dover, Brittany Williams of Dover, Brandon (Hannah) Yoder of Dover; his grandparents, Walt and Vicki Keller of Dover, and Emma Yoder of Sugarcreek; his niece and nephew, Aubrey and Blake Williams of Dover; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Canaan was preceded in death by his grandparents; Francis and Julia Callentine, Michael and Elizabeth Hawkins; and his Papaw, Calvin “Rocky” Price.
A memorial service will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 1:00pm. Following the service, a meal will be served at the Dover Alliance Church. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 5-7 pm.
