Carl D. Mehaffey, 58, of Dover died suddenly on Thursday, March 28, 2013 in the Mercy Medical Center at Canton.
He was employed at Kimble Mixer in New Philadelphia as the Head Electrician, and as a side job, Carl was well known for installing car stereos.
Born September 15, 1954 in Bowerston he was a son of the late Joseph and Virginia Dorsey Mehaffey. Carl was also preceded in death by his sister, Myrna Kosko and a nephew Jimmy Kosko.
Carl enjoyed cars and was a member of several different car clubs, as well as owning a Nissan 350 Z show car.
A loving and caring husband, father and grandfather, Carl will be sadly missed by his wife of 38 years, Deb Loos Mehaffey whom he married on February 14, 1975; son, Bryan (Crystal) Mehaffey of New Philadelphia; sisters, Carol (Darryl) McClain of Uhrichsville and Susan Johnson of Canton and his grandson, Xavier Carmany-Mehaffey.
Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 10-11 am. Following calling hours, the family will have a private graveside service led by Pastor Brian Flood.
