Carla F. Barger

Carla F. Barger, 56, of New Philadelphia died Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Union Hospital.

Born April 27, 1957 in Rock Run, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Alvie "William" and Doris Wince Knight. Carla was also preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Smith.

She enjoyed camping, spending time with her family and especially loved Bluegrass music. She was also a member of Uhrichsville Foursquare Church.

Carla will be sadly missed by her husband of 40 years, Charles W. Barger Jr., whom she married on June 25, 1972; children, Angie (Chris) Sheeley, Charles (Mary) Barger III and Jennifer (Derek) Stevens all of New Philadelphia; brothers, Steven (Mickey) Knight of Uhrichsville and Gary (Suzan) Knight of Sugarcreek; sister, Anita Calhoun and her companion, Enos Goodwin of Dover and six grandchildren, Curtis, Caila, Malachi, Mariah, Hailey and Dakota.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Florence Fellers McNutt officiating. Interment will be in the East Lawn Cemetery at Sugarcreek. Friends can call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
