Carmella M. Petrella, 79, of Dover, died Thursday, April 21, 2005 in Union Hospital.
Born May 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John & Edith Petrella.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Carmie had a passion for golf whether she was playing, which she did for many years, or following the tour on television. She was also an avid bowler.
Survivors include: two sisters-in-law, Joann Petrella and Ruthie Petrella both of Dover; a brother, Dan (Frances) Petrella of Dover, seven nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece and one great-great nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vince Petrella and John, Petrella Jr.
There are no public calling hours.
A funeral mass celebrating Carmie�(TM)s life will be conducted Monday, April 25, at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover. Fr. William Arnold will officiate. At Carmy�(TM)s request, a private burial in Dover�(TM)s Calvary Cemetery will take place immediately after the mass.
Also following mass, friends and family are invited to a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
