Carol A. Mcginnis

Carol A. McGinnis, age 82, of Dover, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018, in Community Hospice’s Truman House, New Philadelphia.

Born October 11, 1935, in Stone Creek, Carol was a daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Kutcher) Domer. She graduated from Baltic High School, and, on May 26, 1953, married Clarence “Butch” McGinnis. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who devoted her life to family. She especially enjoyed following the lives and activities of her grandchildren.

Carol was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Dover, where she taught Sunday School for many years - she was a woman of great faith. One of her favorite Bible verses was from Matthew 19:26, “...with God all things are possible.” Carol was also fond of angels, and collected many figurines over the years.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Butch; her daughters, Patty McGinnis and Sandy (Greg) Dryden, both of Dover; her grandchildren, Tara (Jason) Myers, Lori (Brian) Kutcher, Luke (Amanda) Dalpiaz and Kacie and Abby Dryden; her great-grandchildren, Leah, Landon and Dominic.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Dalpiaz; and her sister, Norma Degen.

Visitation will be Friday, February 2, 6 - 9 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 3, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor Thomas Dunkle officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
