Carol Lynn (Filler) Landis, 63, of Canton and a former Dover resident died Monday, April 11, 2016 at Altercare in Louisville following an extended illness.
Carol was a former teacher's aide at the Starlight School in New Philadelphia.
Born Sept. 24, 1952 in New York, she was the daughter of Robert E. (Susan) Filler of Fort Myers, Florida and the late Louise Diday Filler. She was also preceded by her loved dog, Terry.
Carol was a 1970 graduate of Dover High School and had previously attended the Church of New Hope in Dover. She was an avid photographer and beautiful writer and was an animal lover.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her brother Robert W. (Wendy) Filler of Punta Gorda, Florida; a half sister, Christen (Troy) Stormfeltz of Cape Coral, Florida and a step sister, Karen (Hal) Vinson of Pikeville, North Carolina along with her three feline friends, Casper, Misty and Spooky. She is also survived by her special friends, Carol Ramsey of Dover and neighbors, Don and Jean Joliat of Canton.
At her request, cremation will take place. A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 beginning at 7pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover.
