Carol K. Ditto

Carol K Ditto, 75, a long-time resident of New Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday September 29th, 2022 in the Hennis Care Center at Bolivar after a brief illness. She was surrounded by family and friends.


Carol was born on June 12th, 1947 in Bellefonte PA. to the late Fredrick and Irma Hall Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Eddie H. Ditto in March of 2019 and granddaughter, Payton Walker.


Carol spent most of her life taking care of others. She retired in 2007 from Hennis Care Centre of Bolivar. She worked in the health care field for 25 years and did private care as well. Carol was a volunteer for Hospice for over 20 years where she enjoyed taking care of those who were ill. Carol spent her life serving others and gave more to life than she took. Carol attended the Mosaic Community Church of Dover. Carol and her late husband Eddie were well known in the community as the “organ grinders.” For over 25 years, they entertained people at Tuscora Park and other events by playing old fashioned organ grinder music.


Carol is survived by her siblings, Donald (Cathy) Miller, Raymond (Sue) Miller, Sherry (Rich) Robinson all of Milesburg, PA; children, Angie (Chris) Graves, Kristen Gribble, Patrick (Tracy) Walker, Shelley (Curt) Stoyanovich, Eddie (Cathy) Ditto, Karen Ditto; grandchildren, Tim (Julia) Ditto, David Ditto, Randy Johnson, Tiffany (Jason) Garrett, Michael (Courtney) Gribble, Patrick (Hannah) Walker, Nate Walker, Chelsea (Nick) Combs, Dawn (Michael) McCoun, Landon Ditto, Caitlynn Bragg, Chelsie Bragg, Kourtney Watson, and Drake Watson; great grandchildren, Braden Crone, Bryson Garrett, Brantley Garrett, Arlie Gribble, Nehemiah Combs, and Kamdyn Watson.


Carol was especially remembered for all the sleep over parties at her house for the grandchildren and great grandchildren. The children enjoyed their favorite movies, games, and snacks at grandmother’s house.


Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 9th starting at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory, Dover with her grandson, Patrick Walker officiating. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday.
