Carol Jackson, 61, a Dover resident who grew up in Strasburg, died Friday, February 7, 2002 in Union Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born November 11, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Walter & Catherine Fisher.
Carol was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church at Dover. She was noted for her green thumb and enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens. She also collected angels and birdhouses. Carol loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them, especially her special grandchildren.
She also took pleasure in helping the less fortunate.
Carol is survived by her husband, Daryl Jackson, whom she wed on March 10, 1962.
Other survivors include: four daughters; Cheryl (Patrick) Snyder of Massillon, Suzanne (Dan) Kaiser of Perugia, Italy, Michelle (Steve) McQueen of New Philadelphia and Krista (Jason) McKee of Gahanna, Ohio, five grandchildren; Sabrina, Sarah, Claire, Tyler and Emilie, two brothers; Walter “Skip” (Judy) Fisher, Jr. of Quitman, Arkansas and Steve (Nancy) Fisher of Perry, Ohio, a sister; Jeannine (Tom) Jenei of Reading, Mass., four nieces and four nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, at 10:00am in the Foursquare Gospel Church, Dover, with Rev. David Wing officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Tuesday from 5-8pm.
