Carole A. West

Carole A. West, 77, of Dover died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017 in the Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness.

She was a bookkeeper for the Canton Cemetery Association for many years.

Born June 26, 1940 in Wheeling, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Vorhees) Goudy. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda, Dot, and Marylou, a brother, Fred (Junior) and her feline companion of 17 years, Fluffy.

Carole loved decorating her home for each season of the year as well as special holidays. She also enjoyed Santa Claus and Snow Man collectibles as well as doing ceramics and rubber stamps.

She will be sadly missed by her family including her husband, Tom with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage this Sept. 27; a son, Donald and his companion, Charlene Samples of Fishers, Indiana .

At her request, cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. There will be no services or visitation. Those who would like to share a fond memory or sign the online guestbook can do so at the funeral home website at www.tolandherzig.com
