One of her first jobs was secretary to the late Judge Rice of New Philadelphia. She later worked for Stephenson & Stephenson Attorneys, and the Ohio Bureau of Unemployment. This obituary would not be complete without the mention of Carole(TM)s beloved dogs, Shadow, Kizzie, Foxy and Gorilla.

Besides her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad “Dutch” Haupert, in 1997; two brothers, James and Jack DeVore; and by a nephew.

A public graveside service will be held Monday, Mar. 20, at 10 a.m., in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia. In keeping with Carole(TM)s wishes, there is no visitation. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Carole, please visit the funeral home(TM)s Web site and click on “obituaries.”

In recognition of Carole(TM)s love of animals, it is suggested that donations be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, P.O. Box 92, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
