Carolyn M. Ladner Drescher

Carolyn M. Ladner Drescher, 69, of New Philadelphia died in the home of her daughter less than 24 hours after hearing the news that her son, Jerry Drescher had passed.

Born December 12, 1943 in Hemphill, Texas she was a daughter of the late Herbert "H.O." and Verda Imogene Easley Ladner. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry "Bubba" Drescher, nephew, Lonnie Ladner and father in law, Wayne Reidenbach.
Carolyn was a devoted and caring nurse who retired from Union Hospital as an RN after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Dover and the Senior Center. She loved being with, and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother Carolyn will be sadly missed by her children, Joey (Carla) Drescher and Cristy Drescher both of Dover; brother, R.L. (June) Ladner of Texas; grandchildren, Jarrod, Jordan, Chaleighann and Jayden; mother in law, Auldean Reidenbach of Roswell; former husband, Jerry Drescher Sr. of Canton; many nieces and nephews and brother and sisters in law and her best friend, Sue.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastors Andy McClung and Ernie Perkins officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 pm.
