Carolyn M. Vinca, 67, of Dover died Friday, April 10, 2009 in Country Club Retirement Centre in Dover following an extended illness.
Born March 21, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Delores Uhlenbecker Hatvany. She married her husband, Theodore Vinca in 1964. He preceded her in death in June of 2001.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She was a master gardener and was involved with 4-H.
She is survived by two daughters; Margaret Vinca, and Xandy Vinca; two sons, James Vinca of Tennesee and Robert Vinca of Florida; two sisters, Marilynn Hatvany of Lorain, Ohio and Jackie (Jack) Schlageter of New Mexico; her brother, Richard (Rosemary) Hatvany of Dundee, Ohio as well as many nieces and nephews.
In honoring Carolyn's wishes, cremation will take place through the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in Dover. A memorial mass will be held Monday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover with Father William Arnold officiating. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Dover.
