Carrol J. Griesen, 84, of Dover passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover.
Born in New Philadelphia on September 16, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John E. Jones and Daisy (Yost) Seibert.
On October 3, 1954, she married Loren A. Griesen, who preceded her in death on June 8, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Richard Seibert and her brother, Floyd Jones Sr..
After 26 1⁄2 years, Carrol retired from Zimmer. She was a member of the Dover Foursquare Gospel Church where she was a Deaconess, a Good News Bears teacher, active with the women’s ministries, and sang in the church choir. She later attended the Dennison FourSquare Gospel Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling with her family.
She leaves behind her children; Karen Griesen of Baltic, Beth (Kenny) Jones of Dover, Michael (Julie) Griesen of Maryville, Tennessee, and Michelle (Larry Jr.) Nardi of Uhrichsville; her brother, Dick Seibert; her grandchildren, Cory (Juli) Jones, Adam Jones, Larry Paul (Tessa) Nardi III and Landon Nardi, Micaiah, Katriel and Janayah Griesen; her great-grandchildren, Alanah and Gabrielle Jones; she was expecting her first great-grandson later this month.
A funeral service will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory of Dover on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12 pm with Pastor David Wing officiating. Burial will take place at Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 10-12 pm.
