Catherine A, ''Kit'' Colelli

Catherine A. “Kit” Colelli, 72, of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, in her home.

Born Feb. 11, 1930, in Jeannette, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bess Campbell Wolfe. Kit graduated from St. John�(TM)s General Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, and was a registered nurse. She married Cam Colelli on May 26, 1956, and in 1976, the couple moved to New Philadelphia. Kit was employed by Union Hospital, Dover, for twenty years, during which time she served as president of the local nurses�(TM) union.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia, where she faithfully led the Rosary before Masses. Additionally, she was instrumental in starting the prayer chain at Sacred Heart. Kit was physically active, enjoying both walking and swimming. She was a swimming coach at the Tuscarawas County Y.M.C.A. for ten years.

In addition to her husband, Cam, she is survived by a daughter, Sue Colelli, of New Philadelphia; two sons, Chris (Linda) Colelli of Longmont, CO, and Tim Colelli of New Philadelphia; two granddaughters, Lisa and Renee Colelli; and a brother, Bert Wolfe of Daytona Beach, FL.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Wolfe.

A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at 10 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia. Msgr. George J. Schlegel will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a reception in the church�(TM)s St. Ambrose Hall. Visitation will be Monday (today), July 22, 2002, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover. The Rosary will be prayed this evening at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
