Catherine Weber, the beloved wife of Wayne C. Weber of Country Club Retirement Center Apt. 213 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on June 5, 2001. She was born March 15, 1914, in Dover, to the late George and Elizabeth Boyer Donnelly. At age 17 she moved to Lorain to find work at the Woolworth Five and Dime and the Weitz's Coat Factory. During a weekend at home her girlfriends convinced her to go to a dance, where she met her future husband. They were married six months later, on May 12, 1935, after only seven dates and by corresponding by mail. They lived in Strasburg for eight years before moving to Dover. Catherine and Wayne celebrated their 66th anniversary this year.
She was a homemaker and devoted mother to Cherie (Richard) McCombs, Donna Thompson and Karen (Philip) Schumacher, who survive.

She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church at New Philadelphia, Golden Rule Sunday school Class and Senior Fellowship. She was also a member of the Cypress Chapter of OES at Strasburg and the Delphian Study Club.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Jim Spencer and Rev. Warren Outhwaite officiating. Interment will be at Dover Burial Park. There are no calling hours.
