Charles D. "Charlie" Jones

Charles D. “Charlie” Jones, age 67, of Dover, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020, in Amberwood Manor, New Philadelphia.

Born June 28, 1952, in Alliance, Charlie moved with his family at a young age to Tuscarawas County where he attended Garaway Schools. He married the former Linda Hershberger on May 10, 1981. Charlie was employed by Zedmark in Dover.

Besides his wife, Linda, Charlie is survived by his children, Jerrilyn Jones, Charles L. and Taylor A. Jones and Ashley J. (Brandon) Smitley; his grandchildren, Laon X. and Miles R. Smitley; his siblings, Charlotte Deems, Sandy Holmes and Roy Jones; and his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his children, Matt R. and Kelly Ann Jones, and four siblings.

Cremation is in the care of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. The family will hold a private time of remembrance.
