Charles E. Orr

Charles E. "Chuck" Orr, 65, of Tuscarawas died Friday evening, November 12, 2010 in the Cleveland Clinic following an extended illness.

Chuck owned and operated Dogwoods Unlimited until illness forced his retirement. He had previously owned Hippity Hop Restaurant in Beloit, Ohio. Following his retirement, Chuck worked for the U.S. Census Bureau.

Born August 19, 1945 in Massillon, he was the son of the late Charles V. and Delilah (Lumbatis) Orr. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Irvin Young.

He attended Newpointe Community Church in Dover. He had a love for animals and was a volunteer for Cats R Us. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. A graduate of the Timken Vocational School, he was a former Real Estate Agent and Homebuilder.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Jetta McFarren Orr with whom he celebrated 27 years of marriage on July 25; his children, Tina Marie Kell of Canton, Dana (wife, Ingrid) Orr of Gainesville, Virginia and Cara Celeste Orr of Columbus; three stepchildren, Jesse Garcia of Florida, Trina Garcia of Tuscarawas, and Christopher (wife, Amber) Garcia of Columbus; 10 grandchildren, Karis, Zayden, Dylan, Adrian, Kylan, Natalia, Ashley, Seth, Shaquille, and Brittany;a sister and two brothers, Sandra "Sis" Vara of North Canton, Ralph (Connie) Young of Lewisville, Ohio, and Rodney Young of Twinsburg, Ohio along with several nieces and nephews and their families.

Chuck's family will receive friends Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 6-8pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Cremation will follow the visitation.
