Charles F. “Frank” Anderson, 81, of Wilmot, Ohio died Friday, November 24, 2000 in his home following an extended illness.
He was a retired truck driver for Nickles Bakery in Navarre and had also previously been a bus driver.
Born August 1, 1919 in Hundred, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Martha Kennedy Anderson.
Frank was a member of the Massillon Wesleyan Methodist Church and was a World War II US Army Air Force Veteran. He loved and enjoyed horses and was a founder of the Holmes County Horse Council, member of Ohio Wagon Train Assn., and member of the Tri County and Buckeye Horseman Councils.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Ava Ruedell Anderson who died Nov. 27, 1984.
He is survived by his wife Clarice Anderson of Massillon
Two Sisters Dora Grace White of Washington, Pa. and Violet Marie Adams of Ithaca, New York and a brother, John W. Anderson of Saxonburg, Pa.
He is also survived by several nieces and nephews including Mary (Teddy) Chewning of Winesburg who cared for him.
He was preceded in death by four brothers; Donnely, Joe, Edgar and David Anderson and a sister, Blanche Horner.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000 at 11:00 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg with Rev. Terry Livengood officiating. A committal service will be held Tuesday at 3 PM in the Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray, Pennsylvania. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 7-9 PM.
