Charles F. Wallick Sr., 85, of Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.
He was a longtime employee of Robinson Clay Products where he became a Superintendent in 1957 and continued as Supt. Of the Clow Corporation until his retirement.
Born August 16, 1920 near Dover, Ohio, he was the son of the late Wellington and Anna Bair Wallick.
He was a wellknown area drummer having played in several bands including the Swiss Hilltoppers. He was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
He was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church and was a member of the Musician�(TM)s Union. He was also a former member of the Dover Elks Lodge, and school board member of the former Wooster Highway School. He was a 1938 graduate of Dover High School.
Charles is survived by his wife, Evelyn Gardner Wallick with whom he would have celebrated 65 years of marriage on December 7; He is also survived by three children, Charles “Frank” (Martha) Wallick of North Canton, Don R. (Sheryl) Wallick of Strasburg, and Bonnie (Jay) Parrot of Strasburg; six grandchildren Neil (Elaine) Parrot of Strasburg, Sheree (Rick) Niece of Arkansas, Charlie (Deanna) Wallick III of Florida, Adam Wallick and his fiancé Amy of Columbus, Ryan (Anne) Wallick of Dover and Brennan (Brooke) Wallick of Stillwater; four great grandchildren, Lauren Blakney, Bailey Parrot, Teddy Wallick and Elle Wallick; three sisters in law, LucilleWallick, Betty Wallick, and Faye Wallick.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Willard, and Wayne Wallick and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 21, 2005 at 11am in the Strasburg United Methodist Church with Revs. Steven Court and Howard Fox officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday from 5-8 pm and at the church Friday from 10-11 am.
