Charles H. "Charlie" Leindecker

Charles H. "Charlie" Leindecker, 84, of Dover died on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Union Hospital in Dover.

Born on February 17, 1932 in Coshocton County, he was the son of the late Harvey and Rosa (Domer) Leindecker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Opal Bridges, and infant brother. He celebrated 53 years of marriage with Neva "Jane" Hizer, who preceded him in death on July 3, 2004.

Charlie retired from Belden Brick where he was a fork lift operator for over 46 years.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter; Becky (Don) Shanower of New Philadelphia; five sisters, Viola Fostor of Fresno, Mary (Don) Ogle of Dover, Norma Schlarb of Baltic, Ruth Clay of Dover, Marie (Lowell) Miller of Dover; brother, Harvey Leindecker Jr. of Baltic; grandchildren, Shane Shanower of Stone Creek, and Shana (David) Norman of Dover, along with three great-grandchildren; Evan Shanower, Mallory Norman, and Daniel Norman.

A celebration of Charlie's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 1:30pm with Rev. Denny Rohn officiating. Friends can call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00pm until the service starts at 1:30. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at Schoenbrunn Moravian Church in New Philadelphia.
