Charlotte A. Kastor, age 85, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017, in Aultman Hospital, Canton, from complications following recent heart surgery.
Born May 16, 1932, in Sugarcreek, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Viola Kail Eash. Charlotte attended school in both Dover and Dennison, and graduated from Dennison High School in 1950. She married P. Joel Kastor on September 1, 1957, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Charlotte was a member of Dover’s First Moravian Church where she volunteered in the office for many years. Among her favorite pastimes were knitting, cross-stitching and going to lunch with her friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly (Scottie) McCune of Dover; her granddaughter, Kyle McClead also of Dover; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Kastor Cochran of New Philadelphia; and her beloved dog and cat, Max and Raji.
In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Joel, and by her son, Scott Kastor.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 27, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover; Pastor John B. Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in New Cumberland Cemetery.
