Charlotte Haas

Charlotte Haas, 82, of Dover, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, in her home following a brief illness.

Born, Apr. 25, 1925, in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Hazel Haver Gray. Charlotte was a homemaker �" a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Dover, and she enjoyed crocheting, reading and caring for animals. Charlotte was an excellent cook, who will especially be remembered for her pork chops and mashed potatoes, and the fudge that she made for birthdays and holidays.

Survivors include two grandsons, Thomas (wife, Betsy) Zoelle and Matthew (wife, Sandy) Zoelle, both of Stone Creek; three sisters, Barbara Myers, Paula (husband, Bob) Harshey and Judith Yonley, all of Tuscarawas; a brother, Richard Gray of Edison; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years, Donald Haas, in 1984; her daughter, Deborah Zoelle, and by her son-in-law, William Zoelle.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Pastor David Wing officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Foursquare Gospel Church.
