Chester E. Truman, 73, of Dover died Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at the Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.
He had formerly worked for the Reeves Mill, Dover Police Dept. and Rees Cast Stone.
Born September 24, 1926 in New Philadelphia he was a son of the late James and Agnes Ricklic Truman.
He was a Navy Veteran of WW II and a member of the Dover V.F.W.
Chester is survived by his wife Eva Jean Lenarz Truman with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage on October 31, 1999.
He is also survived by three daughters: Rebecca and Rick Carothers of Tuscarawas.
Kay and Buck Hoover of Dover.
Holly and Garry Holmes of New Philadelphia.
Two sons: Chester "Chet" and Polli Truman of Dover.
Doug and Darla Truman of Dover.
One sister: Wilma and Dean Brick of Dover.
8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2000 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park where the Dover V.F.W. will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Thursday (tonight) from 6-8 pm.
