Christine Dudziak, age 77, of Dover, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, in her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born August 1, 1943, in Steubenville, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Edith Cercone Tedesco. Christine graduated from Dover’s St. Joseph High School in 1961, and went on to attend beauty school. On May 11, 1963, she married Terry Dudziak, who survives, and together they raised two children, Shawn and Shelly.
Christine was a hairdresser and beauty operator for 45 years, and many of her clients grew to be dear friends. She was a long-time member of the Dover Church of Christ, but Alzheimer’s had prevented her attendance in recent years.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Christine will be sadly missed by her husband, Terry; her son, Shawn (Terri) Dudziak of New Philadelphia; her daughter, Shelly (Brian) Bigler of Dover; and her grandchildren, Blake and Breckin Bigler. She is also survived and missed by her brothers, Fred (Becky) and Joe (Laura Avon) Tedesco; her sister, Josephine (Bob) Jones; her brother-in-law, Rodney Schwendiman; and her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her dear sister, Theresa Schwendiman; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Viola Dudziak.
In keeping with Christine’s wishes, there will be no services. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory, please visit the Obituaries link on the Toland-Herzig website.
