Clara L. Semon

Clara L. Semon, 88, of Dover died Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born February 19, 1927 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margretta Jones Myers. Clara was also preceded in death by her husband, James P. Semon on April 24, 2004; sisters, Bernice Myers, Marie Orth, Marjorie Arnold, Jean Thompson, Ruth Hofacre, Mary Fair and brothers, John and Max Myers.

Clara was a proud homemaker who had also worked for Standard Oil in Cleveland and the Homestead Restaurant in Zoar. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a long time poll worker for the Dover Township voting precinct.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Clara will be sadly missed by her children, Margaret (Steve) Ehinger of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joseph (Linda) Semon and James (Cynthia) Seaman both of Dover; grandchildren, Tara, Stacey, Steven, Ryan and Kimberly; great grandchildren, Logan, Keegan, Tristan, Maddison, Grace, Emmerson, Victor and Lila; sisters, JoAnne (Fred) Altier of New Philadelphia, Barbara Krebs of Dover; brother, James (Josephine) Myers of Dover and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 11 at 11:00 am with Deacon Ron Fondriest officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
