Claudia Rae Gerber

Claudia Rae Gerber, 56 of Lancaster California and formally of New Philadelphia died on April 22, 2010 following a long illness.

Born on October 19, 1953 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Arlos "Bud" and Erma A. Grimm Gerber.

Claudia graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1972. She became a nurse's assistant at the former Valley Manor in New Philadelphia. She moved to California in 1977 and worked for various nursing homes and hospitals.

She is survived by; her companion, Steve Goble of California; four half brothers, Paul (wife, Becky) Beitzel, Ken (wife, Barb) Beitzel, Fred Beitzel, and John (wife, Donna) Beitzel all of New Philadelphia; a half sister, Marlene Butler of California, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place in California. There will be no services or calling hours. Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory are handling the arrangements.
