Clifford D. Park, 87, of Strasburg and formerly of Anderson, Missouri and Chesterton, Indiana died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Aultman Hospital.
Born September 4, 1919 in Lafayette, Indiana he was a son of the late Clyde and Ethel Mitchell Park.
He retired from Linde Air Products in Indiana after 30 years of service.
Clifford proudly served in the Army Air Corp. of WW II and continued serving his country as a member and officer of the VFW posts in Anderson and Neosho, Missouri.
He was a member of the Alpine Bible Church in Sugarcreek where he was baptized four weeks ago. Clifford was a member of the Early Day Gas Engine and Tractor Association where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. His other memberships included the Tired Iron of the Ozarks, Farm Echoes of Yesteryear and the Winimac Old Auto Club, .
Clifford is survived by his beloved wife Mary Anna Lindsey Park with whom he would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on December 16, 2006.
He is survived by three daughters, Carolyn (Larrie) Homan of Ft. Langley, British Columbia, Marilyn (Byron) Stewart of Sugarcreek, Ohio and Nancy Redd of Cicero, Indiana; brother, Carl (Ginny) Park of Hobart, Indiana; four grandchildren, Amanda Sandiford, Phillip Stewart, Matthew and Kimberly Willey; great grandchild, Hayden Sandiford.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Alpine Bible Church at Sugarcreek with Rev. Byron Stewart officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Family and friends can call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
