Clyde M. Levengood

Clyde M. “Bud” Levengood, Jr., 76, of Beach City, Ohio died Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born October 18, 1929, he was a son of the late Clyde and Frieda Baad Levengood, Sr. Bud was born on the family farm in Beach City, where he lived his entire life.

He was a full time farmer, who raised dairy cows and most recently Red Angus beef cattle. Farming was in his blood, and he enjoyed that life to the fullest.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church at Beach City, Tuscarawas County Cattle Association, Farm Bureau Council, former Stark County Fair Board Director, 50-year member of Beach City Grange and was a lifetime member of the Holstein Cattle Association.

Bud is survived by the former Nancy Lahmers, who survives, and would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on March 10, 2006.

He is also survived by a son, Robert (Monica) Levengood of Bowerston; two daughters, Barbara (Dr. Michael) Bishop of Wisconsin and Mary Ann (Fred) Miller of North Canton; two sisters, Eileen (Vernon) Deal of Navarre and Thelma Loveday of Dover; five grandchildren, Buddy and David Lenengood, Megan Bishop, Darin Conti and Dietra Miller; two great grandchildren, Sean and Andrew Levengood.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Violet Nicsinger.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Karl Gaston officiating. Interment will be in the South Lawn Cemetery at Beach City. Friends can call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
