Clyde R. Denzer

Clyde R. Denzer, 84, of Louisville and formerly of Dover and Fairborn, Ohio died Thursday, May 3, 2007 the Arbors in Canton following an extended illness.

Clyde retired in 1971 as an electrician for the Greer Steel Company in Dover where he worked for twenty five years. Following retirement, Clyde repaired organs and pianos.

Born March 28, 1923 in Brewster, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clyde and Hazel (Agler) Denzer.


Clyde was a life member of the Enon VFW Post #8437 and a life member of the Enon Amvets. He served in the military police (M.P) of the U.S. Army during World War II and was a decorated combat veteran.

He is survived by his wife Josephine Eisinger Denzer with whom he would have celebrated sixty one years of marriage this September 22; one son, John Denzer of Springfield, Ohio; a daughter in law, Wanda Dillon Denzer of Louisville; five grandchildren, Neil (Tricia) Denzer, Nick (Magan) Denzer, Nicole (Michael) Dewalt all of Louisville, Heather (Robert) Gunther of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jennifer (Glenn) Ainstine of Nyssa, Oregon; seven great grandchildren, Noah, Madison, Blake, Kenzi, Mackenzie, Jessica and Amanda.

Clyde was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Denzer, two grandchildren, Carissa and Noelle; a sister, Mary Murphy and two brothers, Jim and George Denzer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 2pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover with Dr. Larry Hinkel officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park where the Dover VFW will conduct military graveside services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until 2pm.
