Connie Joe Johnson

Connie Joe Johnson, 58, of Dover, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 24, 2019, in her home.


Born on July 15, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Marie Stein and Kenneth Hicks. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.


Connie is affectionately known as “Gigi,” enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the park and Dairy Queen, attending Zoe’s softball games, watching Elizabeth Cheer, spending time with her family, going on motorcycle rides with her husband; Rick, and playing with her dog Coco.


She is survived by her husband; Frederick Johnson, Sr., whom she married August 31, 2006; two daughters, Tasha (Robert) Enos of Dover, Crystal (Shawn) Walton of New Philadelphia; four step-children, Frederick Johnson Jr. of Sugarcreek, Jeremy (Jennifer) Johnson of Dover, Cory Johnson of Dover, and Cody (Nicole) Johnson of Berlin; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Steve (Lori) Hicks of New Philadelphia and Kenneth (Cynthia) of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Kandi (Kenny) Harris of Russellville, KY and Eva Smith of Orlando, Florida.


Connie was preceded in death by her mother; Elizabeth Stein; her step-father, Raymond Stein; and her brother, Richard Hicks.


Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Saturday, November 30, 2019, from 10:00, am until 12:00 pm.
