Connie L. Myers, born on August 30, 1946, in Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 25, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Allen and Mary (Mizia) Brinkley.
She married Kenneth L. Myers on April 16, 1966. Ken preceded her in death on June 15, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Scott.
For over 20 years, Connie proudly served as a self-employed Avon Cosmetic Representative, where she not only thrived professionally but also built lasting relationships within her community. Her passion for her work was evident, as she brought beauty and joy to countless individuals through her friendly and knowledgeable approach.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Connie was deeply committed to giving back to her community. She served as a Girl Scout Leader, where she inspired and nurtured the young girls under her guidance.
She had a very giving heart and enjoyed donating to many organizations; especially St. Jude Hospital. She was also an active member of the Red Hat Society, the “Mad Hatters.” In her leisure time, Connie enjoyed playing cards, a hobby that brought her joy and fostered connections with friends and family.
She leaves behind her son; Kenneth (Tracey) Myers of Massillon; daughter, Mary (Matthew) Border of Stonecreek; her siblings, Janet Houston of Uhrichsville, and Ron (Patti) Brinkley of Strasburg; seven grandchildren, Courtney (Allen) Welsch, Joshua (Tara) Myers, Colin (Makayla) Border, Aaron (Trinity) Border, Kaitlyn (Joshua) Border, Krista (Matt) Nutter, and Jeremy (Jessica) Murch; along with five great-grandchildren, Gabby, Raven, Aiden, Evangelina, and Jesse.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Strasburg on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 pm. A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at the funeral home in Strasburg on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 am. with Pastor Bill Breon and Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. A meal will be served at the funeral home following the service of committal.
