Cora M. Dick

Cora M. Dick, 93, of Dover went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

Born May 3, 1921 in Dundee, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Budd and Tillie (Lehner) King.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Frederick L. Dick on February 28, 2000 along with six brothers and four sisters.

Cora was a member of the Winfield United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Teddy Bear and Blanket Mission. She was an accomplished organist and loved playing at family gatherings. Her love for her family was a loving unconditional love that will always be cherished.

She is survived by two children, Linda (Don) Maughan and Douglas (Linda) Dick both of Dover; three granddaughters, Darcy Neff (John Warehime), Jessi (Troy) Shumaker and Carly Dick; four great grandchildren, Joseph Neff, Misty Neff, Rylie Shumaker and Jade Shumaker; three great great grandchildren, Josalynn, Jase, and Kyryn. She will forever remain in their hearts.

Cora's life will be celebrated at a memorial service on Friday, August 1, 2014 beginning at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Pastor LuAnn Youngman officiating. A lunch reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. She will be laid to rest privately in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends and family may call at the funeral home prior to the service on Friday from 10am-11am.
