Cora V. Bair

Cora V. Bair, 96, of Dover, died Thursday, July 15, 1999 in Park Village Health Care Center after a brief illness.

She and her late husband Raymond, who passed away September 16, 1993, operated the Bair Grocery Store and Gas Station near Dover for 26 years.

Born August 10, 1902 near Dover, she was daughter of the late Edward and Ann Dummermuth Wendling.

Cora was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover and its adult Bible class.  She loved and enjoyed her family.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons:  Mrs. Sam (Ruth) Tschantz, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Brewer, and Glenn & June Bair all of Dover, Raymond Earl & Jeanne Bair of New York.  Also surviving are: a sister Mrs. Lester (Anna Mae) Penrod of Dover, 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren and 3 great great grandhildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00am in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating.  Interment will be in Dover Burial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-8pm.
