Corlas Gene Espenschied

Corlas Gene Espenschied, 66, of Centerton, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 8, 2006. He was born April 21, 1939 in Ragersville, Ohio, to John Joseph and Alice Hamel Espenschied.

He was a fabricator, machinist, and a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. In 1960, he married Lucille Anderson in Ohio. In 1974, they moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas to be near his children and their families. He was a member of the Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching Hummingbirds out of his window.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, a brother, a son, Bradlen and a daughter Rebekah.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Ilene Anderson Espenschied; one brother, Willard Espenschied of Wainwright, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Josephine) Rieger of Dover, Ohio, Gloriadean Rearick of Massillon and Mrs. Robert (Alice Faye) Krebs of Ragersville, Ohio; four sons, Wade Allen Espenschied of Bentonville, Arkansas, Brian Corlas Daniel Espenschied of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Joseph Dean Espenschied of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Scotty Wayne Espenschied of Springdale, Arkansas; one daughter, Julie Lucille Espenschied Needham of Winslow, Arkansas; three daughters in law and one son in law along with nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 pm.
