Crystal Jean O'Connor

Crystal Jean (Paisley) O'Connor, 33, of New Philadelphia passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home.

Born on May 11, 1981 in Dover, she was the daughter of John (step-mother, Susan) Paisley of Dover and Tammy (step-father, John) Fouts of Strasburg.

Crystal was a 1999 graduate of Strasburg High School. She graduated from Malone University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in sports medicine. She later graduated from Walsh University with a master's degree in physical therapy and in 2009 was a Walsh University graduate with a doctorate in physical therapy. She began her career in the cardiology department at Union Hospital, and also worked at Aultman Home Health Care. She was currently working as a Physical Therapist at Hennis Care Center in Bolivar and was excited about a new job in the Physical Therapy Department at Union Hospital. She was on the board of the Ohio Physical Therapy Association.

Crystal will be remembered for her contagious positive attitude and smile. On September 4, 2010, she married the love of her life, Mike O'Connor. She and Mike became the proud parents of Catelyn (3) and Emma (1). Crystal cherished the time spent with her girls and family.

In addition to her husband, parents, and daughters, she will be sadly missed by her brother; Ben (Lyndsay) Paisley of Dover; maternal grandparents, Richard and Beverly Rentsch of Strasburg; paternal grandfather, John "Jack" Paisley of Dover; brother in law, Rick (Tiffany) O'Connor of Uhrichsville; sister in law, Hayley (Timothy) McCormick of Gnadenhutten; mother in- love, Cheryl O'Connor of Uhrichsville; her nieces and nephews, Brady, Brock, and Brett O'Connor of Uhrichsville, Lucas Crihfield and Avery McCormick of Gnadenhutten, and Noelle and Ian Paisley of Strasburg.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother; June Paisley and her father in-law, Danny O'Connor.

Friends are invited to call a the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home& Crematory in Dover on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5-8pm. A celebration of Crystal's life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jason Caddy officiating. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.
