Curtis E. Mason

Curtis E. Mason, 88, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the Hennis Care Centre in Dover.

He retired from Buehlers in New Philadelphia after 20 years as the Meat Department Manager, and had been a meat cutter for 62 years.

Born February 26, 1918 in New Philadelphia he was a son of the late Nelson and Della Sharp Mason.

He was a member of New Philadelphia VFW and Moose, and was a Navy veteran of WW II. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and feeding the neighborhood dogs.

Curtis was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Brooks Mason who died on January 3, 1995.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda (Sam) Fausto of Dellroy and Maxine Martin of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Chris, Margaret and Joe Fausto and Curtis Martin; seven great grandchildren, Shannon, Keith, Michelle, Jamie Lee, Stanley, Angie and Allen.

He was also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and a grandson, Danny Curtis.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
