Curtis L. Stewart, 67, of Dover died suddenly on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Union Hospital.
Born January 23, 1948 in Canton he was a son of the late Curtis J. and Naomi Swick Stewart. He retired from Arizona Chemical after 15 years of service as a Boiler Operator and was currently employed at Omni Care in Dover. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War with the US Army. Curtis was an avid sports fan who enjoyed following all the Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. But most importantly, he loved spending time with his best buddy and grandson, Ethan Westfall.
Curtis is survived by his wife of almost 11 years, Barbara Montgomery Stewart whom he married on May 15, 2004; two stepchildren, Kevin VanKirk and his fianc Melanie Pope of New Philadelphia and Cristal (Scott) Westfall of Dover; grandson, Ethan Westfall.
A memorial service will be held in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Friday, May 15 at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Kowaleski officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday.
