Cynthia A. "Cindy" Ulrich

Cynthia A. "Cindy" Ulrich, age 70, of Dover, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017, in Community Hospice's Truman House, New Philadelphia, following a long illness.



Born December 14, 1946, in Canton, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Betty Boyd Brown. As a young lady, Cindy moved with her family to Dover where she graduated high school. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and was employed by the J.C. Penney Co., New Philadelphia, from which she retired.



Cindy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Dover; a member and past president of the Dover Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary; and a life member of the 187th Airborne Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, reading, cross-stitching, shopping, and spending time with her grandpuppy, Lily.



Survivors include her husband, Gerald Ulrich; her daughters, Ruth Powell of New Philadelphia, Amanda (Jim) Cox of Dover, Martha (Mark) Long of Bellbrook, and Dorothy (John) Harding of Dover; her son, Gerald Allen (Kim) Ulrich of Virginia; her grandchildren, Tyler and Emaly Cox, Ben (Jen) and Adam Reynolds, Stacey and Steven Fisher, Matthew and Jessica Giannobile, Terra (Jason) Hipple and Raven (Jos) Bouza; her great-grandchildren; her siblings, Richard (Twila) Brown, Michael (Jane) Brown and Susan (Paul) Brown Murphy Behm; her nieces and nephews; and her many close and dear friends.



A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, at 5 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Ray Ulrich officiating. Burial will be later in Dover Burial Park. Following the funeral service, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
